Una Tickets (Acquired by Sky/Comcast)

Launched straight out of university in 2014, Una Tickets was founded on a disruptive vision for the ticketing industry. With no prior experience or network, we secured our initial £500,000 pre-seed funding in an incredible 72 hours, driven purely by a compelling pitch deck.

This momentum attracted further investment, leading to a total raise of £1.1 million at a multi-million pound valuation, with the round led by former Wembley Stadium Chairman, Sir Peter Thompson. The capital allowed us to recruit a top-tier team, including the former Managing Director of Ticketmaster, and build a cutting-edge platform.

We announced our ambitions boldly in April 2015 via Music Week – 'We want to take on Ticketmaster' and immediately put our system to the test at the UK's largest festival conference. Its successful performance quickly led to acquisition interest.

Within just 16 months of launch, Una Tickets received multiple offers and was acquired by Sky (Comcast), delivering an impressive 7x return for our investors and marking one of the UK's fastest and most successful tech exits that year.
